About

Tickets are flying for the award-winning comedian Áine Gallager's show at The Gathering Storytelling Festival in Hilltown this week.

Aine, Ireland's 'queen of the offbeat' is on a mission to prove that speaking Irish can be both accessible and hilarious. "For the Love of Milseáin" is a bilingual comedy show that promises to tickle the Irish out of you, even if you don't know a word.

Audiences can sit back, feel inspired and enjoy Áine's tales, like when she met the former president Michael D Higgins and other similar disasters in her own journey to learn Irish.

With her deadpan, offbeat and wholly unique style, there is no doubt Áine will ignite your passion for Irish, even if you don't know a word.

Critics say, "A mini Ardal O'Hanlon" from Aisling Bea, "Fresh and exciting" from Deirdre O'Kane and "One to watch" from The Irish Times.

Her show sold out in Castlewellan last year and it'll do the same in Hilltown!

Thursday 26th February, Downshire Arms at 8pm. Tickets cost £10 online at Ticketsource or call 075 40866986 to arrange payment at the door. Please spread the word.

"The Gathering – Hilltown Storytelling Festival", is organised by Hilltown
