About

Fleadh Cheoil an Dúin is the annual County Down festival of Irish traditional music, song, dance, and culture, organised by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
This year marks a significant moment in local history as the County Fleadh has never before been held in Downpatrick!

Each year, hundreds of competitors—ranging from young beginners to seasoned performers—take part in competitions across traditional instruments, singing, storytelling, comhrá Gaeilge, and dancing.

Alongside the competitions, the fleadh brings sessions, céilís, workshops, family activities, and a vibrant festival atmosphere that fills the host town with music.

This event is also the first qualifying stage on the pathway to the Ulster and All-Ireland Fleadhanna, meaning many talented performers and their families will travel to compete, spectate, and take part in the celebrations.
