About

Step back in time and experience Ireland’s only full-size heritage railway. Discover the station museum, explore the vintage signal cabin, and visit the carriage gallery featuring beautifully restored locomotives and carriages spanning more than a century of railway history.

Join us this EHOD for a special weekend of free access to our carriage and locomotive museum. Enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of our restoration workshop and rarely seen areas of the railway.

Inspired by the EHOD 2026 theme, “Heritage at Risk – Revive, Resist and Reimagine,” this unique weekend offers a fascinating insight into the work being done to preserve and celebrate Ireland’s rich railway heritage for future generations.

Trains will be running from 13:00 - 16:00. - Trains will run to Inch Abbey, where visitors can disembark and take a short walk up to Inch Abbey, the ruins of an ancient Cistercian Abbey, which was also used as a location for the TV Series ‘Game of Thrones’.
