From historic buildings and ancient landmarks to music, storytelling and guided walks, Rostrevor's first-ever Heritage Week invites visitors to experience the village's heritage in new and engaging ways. Organised by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Heritage Officers alongside local community, cultural and historical groups, the programme celebrates the people, places and stories that have shaped Rostrevor through the generations.
Running from Saturday 5 to Sunday 13 September 2026, the Rostrevor Heritage Week programme offers something for everyone, from ancient graveyards and historic buildings to trees, maps, music and shared memories. Rostrevor Heritage Week events are free, with something for all ages and interests. Come along, try something new, and see Rostrevor through fresh eyes.
Visitors can take part in guided walks, try urban sketching, uncover forgotten stories, learn about landmark buildings or simply enjoy the sights, sounds and stories that have shaped the village of Rostrevor down through the generations.
