About

Ivy Apartment is a fully refurbished, family and dog-friendly self-catering holiday apartment in the heart of the charming village of Killyleagh, a few minutes’ walk from the shores of Strangford Lough.

Just 30-40 minutes from Belfast and 15 minutes from historic Downpatrick, it is an ideal base for exploring the outstanding natural beauty of County Down, or for guests attending weddings and events at nearby venues.

The Dufferin Coaching Inn and Hall and the adjacent pub The Dufferin Arms are just across the road, while Tullyveery House and Finnebrogue Woods are both 2 miles (5 minutes) away by car. Ballydugan Mill, Old Court and Hinch Distillery are all within 20 minutes' drive.

The apartment sits on the High Street, just below Killyleagh Castle and offers a private front door, a fully equipped kitchen and a secure rear courtyard with a large dining table that comfortably seats 6, perfect for children and dogs.

Upstairs are a spacious bedroom, with a double bed and a daybed that converts into two full-size singles for children, and a shower room.

The property was built as part of a terrace of houses in the 1800s and has a carriage entrance, which runs under the apartment bedroom and shower room, that would have allowed horse-drawn vehicles into the rear courtyard for stabling. This tunnel now provides a safe, dry place to securely store bikes and canoes.

Pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops are all within a short walk.

What's included: Fully equipped kitchen with Smeg oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Tea, coffee and breakfast supplies. Double bed with memory foam mattress and daybed (converts to two singles), blackout blinds and curtains. Walk-in shower room with Italian ceramic tiles. Secure, dog-friendly rear courtyard with dining table for six and bbq. Secure bike and canoe storage.
