Relax at Cherrymount Cottage, nestled at the foot of Donard forest, in Newcastle Co. Down. Enjoy the generous gardens with views of the Mournes listening to the Tullybrannigan river babble past at their foot. This recently renovated spacious Mourne cottage gives you a private retreat just 15 minutes walk from the town centre, 500m to Donard forest trails and 1km from the Ulster Way hiking entrance to Tollymore Forest Park. Cherrymount's garden is bedecked in cherry blossom in the Spring. You have your own forest and river walk. This beautifull cottage is pet freindly.

 

Open plan kitchen dining/living space with wood burning stove that leads on to the back garden sunroom.
All three bedrooms are spacious. One bedroom has 2 single beds. The other 2 bedrooms hve a king size bed. One bedroom has a proper cot. 
Recently renovated main bathroom/wetroom with rain shower and under floor heating. Separate (2nd) toilet and washroom
Ample parking for at least three vehicles. No steps on pathway to main entrance.
Cot and high chair available for those travelling with small children.
Fibre internet with app ready HDTV
Rear garden is river fronted with paths down through a wooded area to the Tullybrannigan river.
This hoilday home is ideal for families, friends travelling together, cyclists and hikers alike with easy access to the Mournes and the town. Royal County Down Golf Club is close by and the cottage is a great location for golfers too. We were very lucky to have a professional golfer as our guest for the Irish Open in 2024.
