About

The Mourne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is located in the south-east corner of Northern Ireland where "the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea".  It covers an area of 57,000 hectares, encompassing the Mourne Mountains and the uplands of Slieve Croob.  The AONB has a wealth of natural, built and cultural heritage and provides stunning vistas of the landscapes and seascapes.  You will find beautiful beaches, sand dunes, rocky coves, lakes and reservoirs. The beauty of the landscape lies in its diversity.
