The highly anticipated Eats & Beats Festival returned to Newcastle, Co. Down on Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 September 2026, with the Festival expected to return in 2027. Nestled at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, this vibrant festival delivered an unmissable weekend of incredible flavours and unforgettable music, creating a spectacular celebration of the region’s rich culinary and musical heritage.

With two dynamic stages, visitors experienced an eclectic mix of local and international artists, providing the ultimate soundtrack to a weekend of indulgence and entertainment. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or a food lover, this event guaranteed something special for everyone.

Flavours to Savour at Eats & Beats

Food lovers were in for a treat as the festival showcased the finest locally sourced produce and artisanal delights. Visitors enjoyed:

• Fresh Coastal Flavours – Sampling the best seafood straight from the shores of Carlingford Lough.

• Mountain-Inspired Dishes – Tasting heartwarming dishes inspired by the Mourne Mountains.

• Live Cookery Demonstrations – Watching top chefs in action, learning the secrets behind their mouth-watering creations.

• Artisan Food Market – Indulging in a diverse selection of locally crafted cheeses, baked goods, and gourmet street food. 

The popular Cookery Demonstrations attracted food lovers across both days, with Paul Cunningham hosting the programme and also cooking live. He was joined by Jenny Bristow, Suzie Lee, Paula McIntyre, Adam Morrison, Ryan Harrison and Bradley Webster, who shared recipes, cooking tips and culinary inspiration with festival audiences.

Live Music at Eats & Beats

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Mourne Mountains, Eats & Beats delivered an unforgettable live music experience across two dynamic stages. Showcasing an exciting mix of regional and national talent, Eats & Beats brought together vibrant sounds, energetic performances and a lively atmosphere from day to night.

Music fans were treated to more than 24 live performances across the Homegrown and World stages, with a diverse programme spanning pop, rock, country, punk, blues, ska, reggae and international sounds. The weekend line-up included D:Ream, Eric Bell & When Ireland Rocked, JC Stewart, Lisa McHugh, Muireann Bradley, Anna’s Number and Taylor Lally, alongside World Stage performances from The Skallions, Magwere, Baile An Salsa, Havana Roots, Manouche and more. Families also enjoyed entertainment and activities throughout the weekend, including the Kids Zone and Curious Minds Experience.

Tickets for Eats & Beats

Eats & Beats provided the perfect blend of great food and live music. Day tickets started from just £5, with free entry for children under 5 and family tickets were available. Festival wristbands allowed you to leave and re-enter throughout the day until 5pm, giving you the freedom to enjoy the festival while exploring everything Newcastle has to offer.
