About

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Newry City with a full day of colour, creativity and hands-on fun at Newry & Mourne Museum, where families can enjoy free, engaging activities designed especially for children and young visitors. Taking place on Tuesday 17 March 2026 the museum will become a lively hub of family-friendly St Patrick's Day events blending arts, culture, heritage and play in the heart of the city.

Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos with Making Faces

Add a splash of festive sparkle with facepainting and glitter tattoos by Anmarie from Making Faces. From shamrocks to rainbows, little visitors can step into the celebrations in style.

Sensory Play with Mini Explorers

12noon to 4pm

Mini Explorers will bring a calming, hands-on sensory play experience for younger children and babies, featuring:

  • Themed sensory trays
  • Scented dough
