Love traditional music? Play an instrument? Or just curious and want to get involved? Come join us at the Avoca Hotel in Newcastle for a lively and welcoming trad session that celebrates the rich traditions and spirit of Irish music.

 

Whether you're a seasoned player, just starting out and want to try yourself, or simply love the sound of a reel or jig, there’s a place for you here. Bring your instrument, your voice – or just your curiosity – and try it for yourself in a relaxed, friendly setting.

 

Fiddles, flutes, bodhráns, banjos – all instruments welcome. No experience needed – just enthusiasm Great craic, local pints, and a friendly atmosphere set in the stunning foothills of the Mourne Mountains
