Donaghaguy Waterworks is located on the outskirts of Warrenpoint, this shallow, spring-fed reservoir is regularly stocked with both Rainbow and Brown Trout (ranging from 1.5–8lb).
A Loughs Agency Rod Licence is required. Anglers must also acquire a fishing permit from Warrenpoint and District Angling Club which can be purchased at Newry Angling Centre.
Donaghaguy Waterworks is a peaceful spot for a walk, with a fully tarmacked path circling the reservoir and offering easy access for all abilities. The route is flat and surrounded by trees, making it a relaxing place to enjoy fresh air, watch swans gliding across the water, and spot local wildlife. With accessible parking on site, as well as benches and picnic areas along the way, provide spaces to pause and take in the views, while the quiet setting just outside Warrenpoint makes it a favourite for a gentle stroll, family outing, or a moment of calm in nature.
