Kilbroney Caravan Park is situated in a stunning location in Rostrevor, County Down, Northern Ireland, where mountain, sea and valley create a scenic wonderland. Overlooking Carlingford Lough these 97 acres of beautiful parkland nestles within the shadow of Slieve Martin and the Mountains of Mourne.

Kilbroney Caravan Park booking system reopens on Monday 9 February 2026 at 10am here. Please note that bookings are online only. We strongly advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

 

Kilbroney Caravan Park operating times in 2026 (all dates shown are inclusive):

Pitches 1 - 14 and 32-51 only available to book:

  • Thursday 12 March to Tuesday 17 March
  • Friday 20 & Saturday 21 March and Friday 27 & Saturday 28 March
  • Thursday 2 April to Thursday 30 April

All pitches available to book (Pitches 1-52):

  • Friday 1 May - Wednesday 30 September

Pitches 1-14 and 32-52 only available to book:

  • Thursday 1 October - Saturday 3 October
  • Friday 9 October & Saturday 10 October
  • Friday 16 October & Saturday 17 October
  • Friday 23 October to Saturday 31 October 

Kilbroney Caravan Park closes (for the season) on Sunday 1 November 2026 at 1pm.

Kilbroney Caravan Park – Pitching Sites & Facilities

Fully serviced pitches: 51

  • 35 hard standing pitches (numbered 1-14 & 32-52)
  • 16 soft-standing serviced caravan pitches – located at the bottom of the Caravan Park, below the toilet and shower block. 
  • 10 grass tent pitches – unserviced

Serviced pitches suitable for tents: 1-6, and 15-30

Serviced pitches not suitable for awnings: 7,9,11-20, 32-40,42-47

Please note that the caravan park is located on the side of a mountain and that all pitches are not level and for this reason we do not charge for awnings. It will be necessary to use levelling blocks on all our pitches - these are not provided.


There are 10 un-serviced grass tent spaces; when making an un-serviced tent booking, the booking system will automatically allocate a pitch if there is availability for your selected date and customers will be able to select their own pitching area on arrival as there are no numbered tent pitches, only designated tent areas. (see attached map). Customers must leave a minimum of 5 metres between each tent. Tents only (200sqft max which includes guy ropes). Please note this area is NOT suitable for trailer tents, folding campers, roof tents and other wheel-based accommodation.
 

Hire Charges

  • Caravan/Motorhome/Trailer Tent/Roof Tent/ Tent with electric hook-up: £32.34 per night. The can be booked onto serviced bays only.
  • Non-electric tent spaces: £25.73 per night.

All prices are inclusive of VAT charged at 20%.

Things to do near Kilbroney Caravan Park, Kilbroney Park

There are many places to visit and things to do in the local area, including hiking to the Cloughmor (known locally as the 'big stone'), a visit to Ross Monument, a walk along the Fairy Glen and the Narnia Trail or a cycle on the Mountain Bike Trails. Cancellations & Amendments

Cancellations - a minimum of 7 days’ written notice (by letter or email), in advance of arrival date is required from anyone wishing to cancel their booking.  If more than 7 days’ notice is given, the booking may be rearranged to another available date within the season or alternatively a refund can be given minus £5 administration charge.  


Cancellations within 7 days of customer’s arrival date are not transferable or refundable unless in exceptional circumstances, such as a medical emergency (as defined by NI Direct Government Services – ‘something that is, potentially, immediately life-threatening’), or a family bereavement (appropriate documentation e.g., a medical note must be forwarded in order to process the refund, minus £5 administration charge.)


Amendments – if more than 72 hours’ written notice (by letter or email) is given, the booking may be rearranged to another available date within the Season. The alternative date is non-refundable and must be confirmed prior to original arrival date. Requests to rearrange a booking within 72 hours of the Customer’s arrival date or failure to arrive are not permitted. 


Customers are advised to have insurance cover in the event of cancellation.  Refunds cannot be made for any amendments made to the booking on arrival or during stay.

Other Information

On the day prior to arrival, all customers will receive a 4-digit code for access to vehicle barriers, amenity block and laundry rooms. Present booking confirmation to staff at carpark office. Please note check-in strictly 2pm to 8pm. Early arrivals please park in main carpark. Check out is before 1pm.
If you book after 2pm on the day before arrival or on the day of arrival, you will receive your 4-digit access code when you check-in on day of arrival 2pm-8pm.

  • We would ask all extra visitors to use the main car park.
  • We would ask all residents to adhere to the 'quiet after 11pm’ rule.
  • It is now mandatory to recycle all your waste in the designated bins.
