About

Harbour View is  a lovely 3 bedroom cottage, comfortably sleeping six adults, in the centre of Ardglass village. A large enclosed garden is at the rear. A sun room at teh rear of the house provides stunning views over Ardglass harbour.  The kitchen and a lounge area ajoin the sun room. There is an additional sitting room. 

Ardglass Golf Club, a 18 hole links course is just 200 metres from the door!! Even if you don't golf, you are permitted to walk on a coastal path through the golf course in the evening and enjoy the amazing views. 

Several other golf courses are nearby including Royal County Down Newcastle, St Patricks Golf Club Downpatrick. Downpatrick Golf Centre driving range is located between Ardglass and Downpatrick. 

Ardglass a working harbour, and you can walk along the pier and watch the boats land their catch.

Ardglass is a great location for exploring all that Co Down has to offer including the Mourne mountains and local beaches including Ballyhornan, Coney Island, Minerstown, and Tyrella.

Strangford Village and Castleward House Estate -'Game of Thrones' sites is 7 miles away. There is a ferry (car & pedestrian) between Strangford and Portaferry. This crosses the Strangford Lough narrows where the fast tidal currents can be experienced. There is an Aquarium in Portaferry which is great for children. 

Ardglass restaurants: Aldos, East Essence Chinese Restaurant, Docs Fish and Chips.

Strangford restaurants: Artisan Cookhouse, Lobster Pot, Cuan Restaurant

Downpatrick is 6 miles away and has many interesting landmarks and sites of historical interest including ; Down Cathedral and St Patrick’s grave, St Patricks Centre, Downe Museum, St Patricks Monument (walk and scenic views), Saul Church (site of St Patrick’s first church), Inch Abbey, Struell Wells.

Newcastle is 14 miles around the coast at the foot of the Mourne mountains. The mountains can be accessed from Donard Park. Newcastle has a number of good restaurants including -Vila Vinci, Brunels, Slieve Donard Hotel,. Dundrum is en route to Newcastle. Dundrum Castle is worth a visit. Dundrum restaurants ; The Bucks Head, Mourne Seafood. Mulough Beach Reserve is on the road between Dundrum and Newcastle.

Belfast is a 40 minute drive away. Regular buses via Downpatrick are also available.
