About

Ever wanted to make your own music but didn't know where to start?
This friendly, hands-on course is designed for complete beginners and will guide participants step by step through the basics of digital music production.

Introduction to Music Production: Creating Music from Scratch
Across four sessions, you'll learn how to create beats, build melodies, arrange a track and shape your sound using accessible digital tools. By the end of the programme, you'll have created and exported your own finished piece of music.

Sessions are delivered live, using clear visual demonstrations and practical, hands-on learning in a supportive and inclusive environment. No prior musical knowledge is required, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

The programme is designed to be accessible, using free or low-cost software, flexible pacing and plain language teaching, making it ideal for anyone interested in music, creativity or digital skills development.

It is essential that participants bring their own laptop or tablet, as well as headphones, to take part in the workshop. Software is supplied.
