Set against the stunning backdrop of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains, Warrenpoint comes alive each May with the return of the International Guinness® Blues on the Bay Festival. Now in its 27th year, this much-loved County Down festival brings together leading blues and jazz musicians from around the world, alongside exceptional local talent, for a week-long celebration of live music in one of Northern Ireland’s most scenic coastal towns.

A Week of Live Music by the Bay

From 20–27 May 2026, visitors can enjoy more than 70 free gigs and jam sessions across Warrenpoint’s welcoming pubs, venues, and outdoor spaces.
Whether you’re a dedicated blues enthusiast or simply looking for great live music in a relaxed coastal setting, the festival offers something for everyone. Expect an uplifting atmosphere, spontaneous performances, and the unique experience of discovering music around every corner.

As part of the festival programme, Warrenpoint Municipal Park hosts a vibrant Artisan Market, showcasing a range of local food, handmade crafts, and unique gifts at Warrenpoint Municipal Park. It’s an ideal spot to relax, sample local produce, and soak up the festival atmosphere with family and friends.
