About
As part of Newry Arts Festival, Newpoint Players present Going High, Going Low, an evening of poetry and performance created and delivered by Seán Treanor at Finegan & Son.
There are stories to be told everywhere and from everything, says Treanor. As Senior Director, Artistic Director and Writer in Residence with Newpoint Players, he has long brought overlooked narratives to life through theatre, song and spoken word. This special festival event weaves together poetry and live performance in a reflective and engaging evening.
The programme also features Alan Bennett's classic monologue Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet, performed by Eithne Bell. Bennett's sharp, humane and quietly subversive writing offers a masterclass in character and wit, brought to life in an intimate setting.
Blending humour, insight and emotional depth, Going High, Going Low invites audiences to listen closely and rediscover the power of words to connect, surprise and move us.
An intimate and thought-provoking evening in the heart of the city.
