About

Cut Rubber is a high-energy, positive-vibe three-piece and are described as a “high energy indie garage rock band with a punky twist.”

“I write about the stuff that’s important to me” says singer and songwriter Kieron Black, “things like mental health, anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, racism, and inequality. And how important it is not to look down at all the ugly feet on display in summertime in Lidl in Downpatrick. You know, the really important things in life.”

This is Cut Rubber’s first return to Down Arts Centre since opening for Downpatrick legends Ash in the summer of ‘22. Cut Rubber are; Kieron Black (guitars and vocals), Conor McGrath (bass and vocals) and Davy Bates (drums).
