About
As part of Newry Arts Festival, Bunclody-Kilmyshall Drama Group bring Hugh Leonard's beloved Irish classic Da to the stage.
Set in Dalkey in 1968, the play follows Charlie, a writer who returns home after the death of his adoptive father. As he revisits his childhood home, Charlie finds himself in conversation with ghosts from his past, reliving moments that shaped his love, frustration and longing for independence.
Both humorous and deeply moving, Da is a tender exploration of memory, family and the enduring ties that bind us to where we come from.
