National Drawing Day has become a major annual event for Museums north and south focusing on a range of drawing activities that invite participants to engage with museum collections and current exhibitions.
This year Newry and Mourne Museum will be taking part with a workshop from 11am - 1pm on 16 May, suitable for children aged 10 – 15, facilitated by local artist Dwyer McKerr.
Participants will take a brief tour of the Museum’s galleries to be inspired by the art and artefacts on display. After that, they will learn how to sketch using markers, pencils, and other assorted materials to create their own unique piece of art.
This workshop is free of charge, for more information or to book please email Declan.Carroll@nmandd.org
