About

Newry and Mourne Museum has organised European Heritage Open Days 2026 events for all ages, inspired by the theme Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine.

The programme draws on the Museum's latest exhibition, Categorically Celtic – Traditional Design in Irish Art, Politics and Popular Culture, exploring Celtic art's role in Irish life.

As part of these events experience a captivating afternoon with storyteller Sinéad McAleavey and singer-songwriter Jonny Byrne in a performance for adult audiences.

Through spoken word and song, this powerful performance crosses cultures to celebrate truth, tenderness, identity, resilience and connection.

Sinéad McAleavey's compelling storytelling invites audiences to connect, reflect and rediscover the joy and power of shared stories.

Don't miss this uplifting celebration of story, song and connection.
