Build Your Own Shield

Newry and Mourne Museum, Bagenal's Castle, Castle Street, Newry, County Down, BT34 2BY
Create your own shield

About

Newry and Mourne Museum will host two shield arts and crafts workshops for children aged 5 to 11 at 10.30am until 12pm and at 1.30 until 3pm.

Inspired by Council's logo children will learn more about heraldry, the medieval system of identification used during battle, which developed into the art form used in creating family coats of arms and crests.

They will get the chance to create a new family crest (or use the old one) and make their own shield and fridge magnets.
