About

Csilla Toldy is a writer and film poet living in Rostrevor, Co. Down. Her visual work is text-based, and
often multilingual, exploring themes of identity, nature, and our connections with the environment.
Csilla's film poems were commissioned by the Executive Office of Northern Ireland and the Centre for
Creative Practices. Many of them won awards at international film festivals.
Works were exhibited in Poole Arts Centre, Leno Gallery Berlin, D-Light Gallery, The Complex in
Dublin, Armagh Planetarium and the Foyer Gallery of Marketplace Theatre.
The still images in this exhibition were created in collaboration with photographer Jonathan Heyhoe
as part of their joint work "Reflections", discussing identity and our place in the world.
Along with earlier works, this exhibition will unveil "Imbolc" a video installation Csilla created as Artist
in Residence at Down Arts Centre in collaboration with the choir of Bunscoil Bheanna Boirche and
The Garvey School of Speech and Drama, Caitriona Lane (voice over and translation), Lucky McIntire
(dance and voice).
